The Inspiration

The people of Israel had a rep for disobeying the rules set to protect them. Even after witnessing God delivering them from slavery and literally parting waters for them, they would complain at the slightest inconvenience and cause trouble. As a result of this, God established that the current generation of people would never see the Promised Land, but wander the wilderness until they died; it would be the following generation that would inherit God’s promise. It must have felt like going in circles, traveling that wilderness for 40 years; a very hard lesson to live through, but a valuable lesson to learn from.

The Breakdown

This was a Mextures Collective edit, participating in a community experience where everyone takes their individual approach to an edit while making a Mextures formula the centerpiece; this photo belongs to Instagram user @c_grizz. All that was done to this photo was a vortex filter in Phonto to make the swirl, and a custom Mextures formula: MYIXZMW.
