The Inspiration
When I was a kid, there was a comic book series that I thought was epic; went by the name Archangels, and it was an attempt by a small Christian group to portray the spiritual warfare that happens around us between the powers of light and darkness. It was the first time I’d heard any idea about there being much happening in this world that I couldn’t see; since then it’s always made me think of how God protects His own, sending angels to defend the ones He loves. God transcends all planes of existence; there is no part of this earth, seen or unseen, that He isn’t present or limited to. You can even find Him in your own heart, but that’s a decision of accepting His free gift of salvation. Romans 10:9-10 says that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; salvation and a new relationship with God is a decision that is external and internal, a change that is made in your visible world but more importantly in your heart. Our mission as Xross Art isn’t to try and shove preaching in your face, but to use art as means to share the message of hope we hold on to so strongly.
The Breakdown
This was an edit for the latest round of Mextures Collective, featuring a few photos by Instagram user @ryanbrien. First I created the formula to use for the edit, then I started over to leave that formula for last. All that was done here was putting the photo through Alien Sky to add the stars and galaxy and blending it into the water, and the formula to finish it off.
Blessings,
Xross Art
