The Inspiration

One of the most profound statements in American history is “all men are created equal.” This particular nation was founded with the idea that no one would live under strict, limited, tyrannical rule ever again; no matter your view on how that idea holds up today, what still remains true is this: all men are created equal. We’re designed the same, we have the ability to think, speak, and act the same way, and no matter our skin color, physical or mental limitations, ailments and diseases, what we all share is the fact that deep in our hearts, in the heart is every human being currently living, lies a genuine calling and purpose placed there by our Creator. We don’t have to be exactly the same or positioned exactly alike to have that purpose intact; He takes us as we are, and we are always welcome by grace.

The Breakdown

This was the last of three photos I chose to edit from Instagram user @ownthelight. In Union, the photo was the background and foreground, with the foreground flipped upside down; then I used the shape mask feature (specifically the square fade) to blend it together. The edit was color graded in Mextures.
