Heart of the Art: Built To Last

The Inspiration

Trees can be some of the most awe-inspiring parts of nature; some of these guys have stood for hundreds of years, which is pretty amazing. When I observe these natural wonders, it makes me think about God’s intricate creativity; trees are a visible, tangible representation of understanding how our world is truly alive. Despite years of forests being cut down to make room for more of us, disasters or incidents that have killed off nature in various parts of the world, or our lack of recognizing and appreciating these towering works of beauty, we can still find these things everywhere. Best part is that they only show a small glimpse of the longevity and fortitude that’s found in God’s creative love.

The Breakdown

First I took this image from Unsplash into TRGL, where I triangulated the image; that version was blended into the original via Union, and then color graded in Mextures.
