The Inspiration

Judah is like a young lion. You have returned from killing, my son. Like a lion, he stretches out and lies down to rest, and no one is brave enough to wake him. (‭Genesis‬ ‭49‬:‭9‬ NCV)

The Breakdown

This is a double exposure piece. the base image is one I found through Google Images; I wanted to make something that represented the power of Christ, and the lion has been a visualization of that in Scripture. The blended image is a photo of the cross at Mt. Davidson in San Francisco, which was added in lighten mode via Union. Color grading was done in Mextures.
