The Inspiration

We seem to live in dark times; lots of violence, sickness, poverty, and brokenness cover the news reels, magazine articles, and Internet pages, and it never seems to stop. What do we do in times like these? How can we make a difference in a world that’s constantly in a struggle to stay together? Matthew 5:14 says, “You are a light of the world; a city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” When God has a place in your life, you become a representative of His glory, which is the true light. It’s this light that has the power to overcome darkness, to break through and shine.

The Breakdown

It’s been a personal challenge with the recent set of edits to maintain a balance between the art and message. With this photo from @below_my_feet, it felt like there wasn’t a need for some grand edit. So all that was done here was building a custom Mextues formula for the photo.
