The Inspiration/Breakdown

Purely for the sake of having a bit of creative fun; one great challenge is when a photo gives you an idea and an end goal right away. This photo from Unsplash was one of those cases. Started out in Union with a photo from the NASA free-for-all as the background and the Unsplash photo as the foreground; simply masked out the water from the foreground. Then it was brought to Elasticam to create swirl effects, processed through Alien Sky to get a nebula effect and some stars thrown in for good measure, and it was finished in Mextures.
