The Inspiration
In Exodus 24, Moses was the only person that spoke to God in a literal way; he would regularly meet and converse with God, listening to instruction and how to lead the people of Israel. In this specific passage, he went up to Mount Sinai, and as usual with meetinghouse on the mountain, His glory would appear like a cloud and cover the mountain. People couldn’t see God in His natural form, because it would overwhelm them; that’s why God chose to cover Himself, so that His glory could be seen. Today, He doesn’t operate the same way, but instead it’s handled in a more intimate way. See, God reveals His glory in our hearts, where personal transformation truly takes place, but since we live in a world where the common mentality is “I’ll believe it when I see it” prevents us from understanding God and His ways. It’s understandable, we’re humans, we like facts and having tangible means of getting something. Our encouragement to you is to consider God’s way of thinking, which is this: believe, and you will see.
The Breakdown
This photo from Unsplash was placed over a gradient background made in Union; for this edit three overlays were used: JS Overlay, #jovrscloud9, and NGHBRS Element. First, a triangle JS overlay was used to mask the photo onto the gradient, then the cloud overlay was used on a second layer to mask a duplicate of the photo on top of the first to give it some depth; lastly the NGHBRS element was masked around the photo for accenting. This edit was color graded in Mextures.
