The Inspiration

The Breakdown

This turned out to be a tedious edit, one of the more challenging ones personally. It started out with making some arc lines in Arc Construkt; a long time ago Instagram user @samwoodsiv used an extremely inspiring technique where these arc machines were used as a frame for the photo to pop out from. This edit was an attempt to replicate that style, but with a different approach. The arc machine was taken into Union as the background, and the photo from Unsplash was the foreground; the time consuming challenge was to mask around the trees and branches so that they would stick out and not be lost in the background (some edits require a lot of dedication when you want a certain look, so be patient about it; totally worth it in the end when it works out!). All that was done after this was a run through Mextures, and the end product was an edit that is now among favorites.
